This year’s ride through Rocky Mountain National Park should be interesting considering the amount of snow the high country has received this year. Since Trail Ridge Road didn’t open until a few weeks later in the season, don’t be surprised to see some snow along the side of the road as we reach the top at the Alpine Visitor’s Center. Therefore, you might want to bring along an extra layer of clothing just in case it gets a little chilly.
Depending on which direction we take on this ride, we’ll either be having lunch in Estes Park or Grand Lake; we’ll decide at the beginning of the ride.
We’ll also be going over 6 CVR-50 Pass passes. If you’ve signed up for this challenge, or even if you haven’t but want to participate, don’t forget your camera. We’ll be stopping at those passes for quick pictures.
Lastly, as a reminder, it will cost $10 for the park entrance fee, so have a ten-spot handy in a readily accessible pocket.
See below for meeting location and POC. Please arrive at the meeting place NLT 8:45 fueled up and ready to roll. Here's a map of the ride route . |
