Okay, so I am surfing the web and I come across an article called, The World's Most Spectacular Roads. And what do I find in the 6th spot in the entire world; Glenwood Canyon, CO I-70, this is the actual caption from the picture:

The Colorado River, of Grand Canyon fame, carved this canyon billions of years ago. The U.S. government built the 12-mile, $490 million interstate route through it, which was only completed in 1992.

So here is what I am proposing, how about a nice ride through this canyon. If it is able to make number 6 in the world, it has to be a great ride.

I searched this route out and it looks very doable and can be a quick, but long day ride. Or we can stretch it out and make it an overnight take our time trip(which is what I would prefer). There are many places to call it a night.

Let me know what everyone thinks and see if we can get a nice trip going. Those of you in Denver it would be a very easy trip to do.

Hey HammerT, I was looking at a route that would make a perfect Iron Butt. It would take us right through this area.

I live in Glenwood Springs and the canyon is cool to see. There are great rides all around us....Independence Pass to Leadville and Tennessee Pass or Buena Vista to Hoosier Pass to Breckenridge, McClure Pass to Black Canyon or Grand Mesa...all great rides on this side of the mountain. If you guys come through here definitely look me up.
