What @#$@# line!~
Written by John Rollins

Things haven’t changed I didn’t color inside the lines as a kid and now that I am an adult I find I am still coloring outside the lines. I am not unique I think all Victory owners in general are the kids that color outside the lines and don’t conform to the mainstream marketing standards which makes this C-VRA community so much fun!

Victory has had me thinking outside the lines since 03 when they released the Vegas, then the Vision and more recently with the Cross bikes. I am now accustomed to seeing them push the boundary and I demand that from the enginerring/design team.

When I saw the new bike released from Victory I was displeased to say the least and out right disappointed by a replica bike corporate released as a supposed new model especially since I knew in fact it had been done before. I first saw the Victory bobber a couple years ago when Rick Fairless did it. You can read his summary on the bike here .

Leather Repair

I bought a vest to have all my patches sewn onto and did exactly that before ever riding with the vest. To my horror, the first time I rode with the vest, the snaps would suddenly let go and leave the vest flapping on both sides of me and pulling on my neck. (Not a distraction you need at 75 mph I can assure you).

Our First Two Wings!
Written by John Rollins
Wednesday, 29 July 2009

Over the years that we have had the 50 Pass program we have had many sign up and to date no one has completed the book and turned it in. That has now changed as two riders from Minnesota are now the first to turn in their books and earn their wings. I want to introduce you to Greg Moe and Randy Neumann who I met at the Rockyard in Castle Rock to review their books and photos and do the final sign off. First  things first, we want to congratulate them on a job well done especially with only 6 weeks of planning!

Bar-B-Q Follow Up
Written by John Rollins
Sunday, 26 April 2009

I want to give a huge thank you to Bob Seger and Ted Nugent for making their appearance at yesterday Bar-B Q! Ooooh I am embellishing surely as we played Guitar hero but I think we all saw ourselves on stage to some degree yesterday as we put on a show for those in attendance. Greatly entertaining! Todd Harkin walked away with being top guitarist of the day, congrats! THANK YOU CHEZ and Victory Motorcycles for the SWAG awarded to our band!

Guitar Hero

We received several emails early Saturday morning indicating people had to cancel due to the inclement weather conditions. I have to admit it took the wind out of my sails seeing wet pavement, grey skies and the emails, luckily Dee kept pushing us to get things ready for those that would be attending. I thank god she had as we did have a great time catching up with some familiar faces, meeting a few new ones and finally for me meeting someone out side of the direct Victory family but whom I had been following on the Internet for some time now reading his articles.

Hello 2009!
Written by John Rollins

Man am I glad to see the year 2008 in my rear view mirror. I came through it with many scars as I am sure many of you did. For me it was a return visit of my selfish x-wife, the distance of my teen age girls emotionally with the hostilities between Mom and Dad, frustrations surrounding the legal system, judges and bullshit state and federal departments that can have you going back 10 years worth of financial records to prove your innocence when one person lies and then there is the old divorce wounds themselves, lawyers, legal bills, $4.00+ gas prices and don't even mention 401K or retirement as I see clearly I will be working until I am 85. So does the recovery start this year?
