I want to give a huge thank you to Bob Seger and Ted Nugent for making their appearance at yesterday Bar-B Q! Ooooh I am embellishing surely as we played Guitar hero but I think we all saw ourselves on stage to some degree yesterday as we put on a show for those in attendance. Greatly entertaining! Todd Harkin walked away with being top guitarist of the day, congrats! THANK YOU CHEZ and Victory Motorcycles for the SWAG awarded to our band!

Guitar Hero

We received several emails early Saturday morning indicating people had to cancel due to the inclement weather conditions. I have to admit it took the wind out of my sails seeing wet pavement, grey skies and the emails, luckily Dee kept pushing us to get things ready for those that would be attending. I thank god she had as we did have a great time catching up with some familiar faces, meeting a few new ones and finally for me meeting someone out side of the direct Victory family but whom I had been following on the Internet for some time now reading his articles.

We had a special visit with Ken Bingenheimer a columnist for  www.examiner.com  whose writings are focused on motorcycling in Colorado. I have been a reader and long time fan of Kens it was nice to meet him in person. Very pleasant visit, he says he will be riding with us on one of our scheduled rides this year in case you happened to have missed him this weekend. I know we will make him greatly welcome and inclusive in our family of riders.

Its rare to have all the RCs in the same room which did happen yesterday and I don't think we spent the day talking shop! Nice...

I want to extend to you the understanding that I think is important to voice. While we are a organization based on a certain brand of motorcycle and riding, its you the rider we want to see on a regular basis. Sure we will all hover around each others motorcycle and talk about chrome, performance parts or what ride is next and which ones we are planning on attending, buts it really about fellowship with one another. If the weather is poor, your not feeling well enough to ride come in a cage.

We have several members that ride brand x, again we may banter back and fourth about what you ride but its only because we are comfortable enough with you to joke and again that shouldn't stop you from participating. Its all good!

Now what do I do with 25 pounds of Hamburger, 54 buns, 12 pounds of hotdogs and 6 pounds of potato salad?

So whats next?  Phil and Paula are hosting their "Peak to Peak" ride, hopefully we will be blessed with good weather and a healthy turn out of our community of riders. Please download and sign the ride waiver and hand it to Phil before the ride. The waiver is needed to participate and can be found here. We are still trying to fill the May 16th Experienced Rider Course so if you would like to attend please visit the forum and lets us know.
